To test that you are receiving the live TV field you can use VLC Media Player. Within VLC select the Media menu and
select Open Network Stream and enter in your channel multicast IP address in the format:

udp://$MULTICAST_IP_ADDRESS$:$PORT$  and then select the Play button.

The video stream can take around 2-3 seconds to initially start.

Click Status on the left hand side to see an overview of all the channels that are currently broadcasting.

Please note that in order for this to work you will need to ensure that multicasting is enabled on your network, and that

any ports used are not being blocked by a firewall. Please contact the Planet eStream Support team for any advice here.

Now the channel is broadcasting over your network, you can add this to your Planet eStream website to be seen as a
Live TV channel which can then be viewed through the website and used in digital signage.

Firstly, log in to your eStream website as an Administrator. Then go to Tools > Admin > Media Management >
Custom Live Channels.

From this page you can click “Add Custom Channel”.

In the pop up window simply enter the name of the channel, and the broadcast URL including the IP address and port
information you have just set for the channel. An example of the Broadcast URL can be found on this page.

Once you have clicked confirm the channel will now be shown through your eStream website under View > Live TV or

within your Planet eSign screen designer.

If you have any questions or problems during this process please contact the Planet eStream Support team. These

details can be found below.
