Maintenance / Storage/
Using again
1 - Cleaning after use
After each use, your stainless steel plancha griddle must be cleaned with clean water or white
vinegar only with white vinegar and coarse salt when warm but not hot.
After several uses, a brown film known as “seasoning” will form on the plancha griddle. This is a
normal reaction which is the grease bonding with the metal - and we recommend you leave it
like this. This is not a quality problem!
WARNING: DO NOT put ice on your hot plancha griddle as it can deform and warp the plate.
2- Winter storage
Before storing your plancha griddle, unhook the gas bottle and place it outdoors in a dry and
well ventilated place away from any heat source.
Store your plancha griddle in a safe and dry place.
We recommend to cover your plancha griddle with one of our purpose-made covers in order to
prevent insects getting in ( spiders, ants, etc…) who could come and nest in it.
3 - Using after winter storage:
Should the burners become clogged, or if it they have not been used for a long period of time,
check and clean with compressed air if needed. (with the appliance cool and the gas turned off):
Turn the plancha griddle over and set it down on its cooking plate (after removing the grease
cup and any other loose objects that could fall).
Take out the four screws that secure the cooking plate, and then put the plancha griddle back
upright, leaving the plate on the ground (see troubleshooting p. 30).
