1. Unpack the appliance carefully. Dispose of the packaging as described in
chapter waste management.
2. Completely remove the transport-protection. Be very careful and do not use
any aggressive or abrasive detergents to remove residuals of the transport-
protection.
3. Install the appliance at a suitable location with an adequate distance from
sources of heat and cold.
4. Check before installation if the power cord or the appliance itself are not
damaged.
5. Remove the transport protection. Do not use any aggressive detergent when
you remove residuals of the transport protection.
6. The appliance must be connected to the mains with a properly grounded
socket only.
7. Leave the appliance in an upright position for 4-6 hours without running it
before you use it for the first time so the refrigerant can stabilise.
8. Install the appliance in a well-ventilated and dry area.
9. Do not install the appliance in an area where it may come in contact with
water or rain in order that the insulation of the electrical components would
