OPERATION
CAUTION
This machine contains moving parts that can
catch hair, loose clothing, and jewelry. Keep
these articles clear during operation.
The machine can be operated in the Automatic feed (Paper cas-
sette) mode or Manual feed mode. Use the automatic feed mode if
you have a lot of single-sheets to feed of the same size. Use the
Manual feed mode if you have only a few sheets, multi-sheets, or
stapled sheets to feed.
AUTOMATIC FEED (PAPER CASSETTE) MODE
1.
Select the type of fold you want from the table in this manual or
from the fold selection chart on the machine.
2.
Turn the Fold selection knob to the number that corresponds to
the type of fold you want. The Fold selection knob has been
designed to have a stiff resistance while being rotated to pre-
vent the knob from moving while paper is being folded. The
knob will stop securely at the desired fold setting.
3.
Configure the paper cassette as required (11 inch or 14 inch
paper). Set the length of the paper cassette by moving the
paper stop in the cassette. There is also a reversible tray label
on the end of the cassette.
4.
Place up to the maximum number of sheets of paper in the feed
cassette, in the direction specified in the Fold Selection Table,
for the selected fold. Do not go past the fill line in the cassette
as overloading may produce poor quality folds or cause paper to
jam and misfeed. Make sure the front corners of the paper are
under the triangular shaped metal pieces at the corners of the
cassette.
5.
Firmly insert the loaded cassette into its opening until you feel it
lock into the position. If you should experience crooked folds,
check if cassette is locked in properly by pulling on it to assure it
is in tight.
