*may not be required for all upgrades
High Temperature Limit Removal
1. Ensure that the power is disconnected and that the tank is
drained.
2. Open the door to the appliance to access the element
shield.
3. Remove the one screw securing the element shield cover.
Keep the screw in a safe place since it will be required
later. (See Diagram A)
4. Slide the element shield cover down and remove.
(See Diagram A)
5. Disconnect the wire harness from the high temperature
limit. (See Diagram B)
6. Remove the high temperature limit from the appliance.
(See Diagram B)
Element Shield Cover Subassembly
1. Attach high temperature limit wiring to the
new
high temperature limit. (See Diagram C)
2. Fold over the flaps on the high temperature limit to cover the wiring connections. (See Diagram C)
3. Attach the high temperature limit to the bracket using two 6-32 screws. (See Diagram C)
4. Attach the high temperature limit subassembly to the
new
element shield cover using two 10-24 self tapping
screws. (See Diagram C)
