Entering the place-name for
your destination
Enter the place-name to narrow down the
search.

On the destination menu, select
“TOWN” (or the place-name) and press
NAVI/OK.
The text input display appears.
Once you have specified the destination, the
name of that location will appear instead of
“
TOWN
” on the destination menu.
If your destination is in the place displayed,
you can select “
ROAD
” or “
CENTRE
” immediately
for setting your destination. Refer to

on page 25.

Enter the place-name for your destina-
tion.

If the location is recognised, the screen auto-
matically switches to the destination menu.
If there is more than one place having the
same name, a place-name list appears. Select
your destination from that list (refer to
When a list
appears
on page 22). The destination menu ap-
pears after you have selected the location.

Select “ROAD” or “CENTRE” from the
menu and then press NAVI/OK.
ROAD
:
you can specify your destination by a
road name.
CENTRE
:
you can set the town or city centre
situated within the specified location as your
destination.

Entering the road name
You can narrow down the search by specify-
ing the road name.

Select “ROAD” and press NAVI/OK.

Enter the road name.

If the road is recognised, the screen automat-
ically switches to the route menu.
If the road passes through a number of plac-
es or there is more than one road with the same
name, a road-name list or a place-name list ap-
pears. Choose your destination from that list (re-
fer to
When a list appears
on page 22). The route
menu appears after you have selected the loca-
tion.
