WRN143/186 Wireless Expander
WRN is a FastLink technology wireless expander that allows adding wireless capabilities to the Hunter-Pro Series alarm systems. The
FastLink communication is encrypted using true, 128-bit AES encryption for high level of security.
The WRN can transfer signals from Visonic’s
1
detectors and other peripherals (except remote controls), and PIMA’s RMC remote control
to the control panel, over the bus. The expander supports up to 32 zones/24 key fobs.
The WRN can alert on jamming, and has a back tamper switch.
For enrollment information, see the Hunter-Pro Installation guide (P/N: 4410281).

Mounting guidelines
Mount the WRN where the wireless signal is high, and it can be connected to the bus.
Do not mount the expander inside a metal enclosure or on metalized wallpaper.
Mount the expander at least 2 meters away from any electrical device that generates noise.
The expander must not be exposed to direct heat sources, direct sunlight or strong artificial light.
Contact with spraying or dripping water and aggressive liquids must be avoided.
How to mount and connect the WRN
1.
Insert a slotted screwdriver to the niches at the bottom of the expander and remove the backplate.
2.
Pass the four bus wires (not supplied) through the backplate and mount it on a flat surface.
3.
Connect the bus wires using the supplied connector, making sure to follow the numbering on both the control panel’s KEYPAD
terminals and the expander (terminal #1 on the control panel connects to the same terminal on the expander, etc.).
4.
Close the enclosure.
5.
Set the expander in the control panel and test it.
