If there is an obstacle under the bed preventing it from going down to its lower position, stop the descent, raise the bed,
remove the obstacle and start again to lower the bed until it reaches a complete stop in the low position.
Raised position
• Make sure that there are no people or objects on the bed.
• Store the ladder.
• Press the “raise” button on the control panel and let the bed rise until it reaches a complete stop in the high position.
• Return the cushions to the seated position
Manual operation in case of malfunction
The pull-down beds are equipped with a manual operation mechanism to be used in emergencies. It consists of an unlocking
nut located behind the bed motor that makes it possible to raise and lower the bed in case of malfunction.
This device is accessible by removing the wooden panel located at the top of the cabinet on the left. Remove the 3 stickers
that hide the face screws on the front of the panel. Unscrew the 3 screws that hold the panel in place and remove it.
If the bed rises when the “lower” button is pressed, then the straps are winding in the wrong
direction. If this happens, never raise the bed entirely or otherwise it may become stuck.
Simply press the “raise” button until the straps once again wrap in the right direction.
Then check to make sure there are no obstacles under the bed that may have caused
this issue (for example, bench seat cushions) and that the bottom stop is still in place.
If there is an obstacle under the bed, do not force the bed to go down. Raise the bed
and remove the obstacle.
