The crutches are to be checked for damage before using.

The rubber feet are to be checked regularly for damage
and wear and tear.

Please have someone accompany you where difficult
walking surfaces are involved so that in case of a
possible fall help is available.

When going up and down stairs use one hand to hold
onto the banister and the other hand to hold (in this
case a single) crutch. Note: The feedback system of
PIERENSTEP is not working while going stairs up or
down.

In the case of a fall please ensure that the crutches
drop to the side so that they do not represent a
stumbling block.

When walking, keep the crutches close to the body so
that they maintain as vertical an alignment as possible.

The crutches are only to be used as an aid to walking
and should on no account be used for any other
purpose (for example to help in the process of standing
up, as a tool etc).

For reasons of liability it is not permissible to modify
the mechanics in any way.

Please do not hang articles on the crutches (bags etc.).

When the crutches have not been used for longer
periods they should be checked by specialist personnel.

The crutches should not be used when the ground is
covered by ice or snow. Caution! Danger of falls arising
from sliding crutches.

Be especially careful when crossing loose carpeting,
damp tiles or floors.
»
The crutches should not be exposed to the effects
of sunrays for longer periods (for example through
windows, car windows).
»
Do not lean the crutches on heating or any hot sources.

Portable and mobile high frequency communication
equipment can affect electrical components.
»
Operation in the vicinity (approx. 1m) of short wave
or microwave therapy components can cause false
measurements leading to incorrect feedback data
from the PIERENSTEP measuring system.
»
Each crutch can be loaded with maximum 100 kg.
