Controlling The Card
To control the card, you can use the rotary controls and two way switch control (Figure 4.13), the controls in the
Global groupbox (Figure 4.17) or direct entry using digits (Figure 4.14). Be aware that the SFP is designed to
operate several different types of Battery Simulator and certain controls may not be enabled for a particular card.

The activity LEDs (Figure 4.12) are enabled or disabled depending on the type of Battery Simulator card. There are
four LEDs as outlined below:
•
Status Monitor Active
– flashes at 2 second intervals to indicate that the card is connected and opened.
•
Interlock
– indicates that the HW pin Interlock has been pulled low, which means no output voltage will be
generated by the Battery Simulator.
•
Limit Shutdown Warning
– indicates that the Battery Simulator has reached its maximum current limit.
•
Current Draw Monitor
– indicates that the Battery Simulator is supplying more than 10mA.
