Remove cover «

» by loosening the two fixing screws. Detach the spark plug cap and
remove the spark plug using the supplied box-spanner. To refit the spark plug, screw
it back in by hand with the correct inclination; use the box-spanner for tightening only.
Carefully refit the screened cap. Should it be necessary to access the spark plug while
the engine is still warm, this should be done from the top, by removing the helmet
compartment, so to reduce the risk of burns. To refit the cover, follow the above pro-
cedures in the reverse order having care to reinsert the cleat in the top portion of the
central fairing.
CAUTION
FOLLOW THESE PROCEDURES VERY CAREFULLY TO AVOID ANY SEVERE
DAMAGE THAT MAY BE CAUSED BY THE VERY POWERFUL IGNITION SYS-
TEM.
CAUTION
THE SPARK PLUG MUST BE REMOVED WHEN THE ENGINE IS COLD.
USING IGNITION ELECTRONIC CENTRAL UNITS OR SPARK PLUGS OTHER
THAN THE TYPES PRESCRIBED (SEE «TECHNICAL DATA» SECTION) CAN
CAUSE SERIOUS DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
