insert:
1. Before attempting to inflate the Immairsion
TM
insert, always verify that the
safety valve of the hand pump is closed.
2. Gently remove the inflation valve from the storage pocket of the cover.
Note: with the dual valve model only one valve can be used to inflate insert, the
other should remain closed.
3. Unscrew the inflation valve cap of the insert.
4. Screw the metal adapter of the hand pump inflation tube onto the inflation
valve of the insert.
5. Inflate the air cells with the hand pump until pressure gauge needle is situated
in the green zone of the dial.
6. With the user well seated in his wheelchair, lift their leg slightly to enable
you to place your hand between the user’s bottom and the insert to detect
their lowest bony prominence. Once determined lower their leg to a sitting
position while keeping your hand in place.
7. Loosen the safety valve of the hand pump to release air pressure until you
have difficulty moving your fingers. Close the safety valve.
8. Unscrew the metal adapter of the hand pump inflation tube and screw the
inflation valve cap back on.
9. Place the inflation valve of the insert in the storage pocket of the insert cover.
WARNING! The red zone of the pressure gauge dial indicates the insert is
over-inflated, this may damage your insert.
