Water Interconnection Revision

LOSING THE

P

OWER SUPPLY

It sounds easy. Maybe it will be easy after modifying about 30 Units. But
never forget to do all steps at full attention. After closing the rear and front
cover together with following the checkup list in the last chapter, now is the
right time to hesitate. Take a deep breath and overlook the power supply
again. Maybe something not in the checklist occurred and wants to be
discovered by you. Take this chance to ensure everything worked well.

Now get the screws you removed earlier. It is possible that you’ll detect
different lengths. This depends on our own process of continuous
improvement. The first units delivered had up to 5 different lengths  of M3
case screws. Older Units may contain M3x4mm up to M3x8mm screws. We
recommend to use „M3x5mm sink head screws“ for all chassis purposes.
All newer units chassis are screwed with them. One exception is the  back
cover. There, in some Units M3x10mm cylinder head screws including a
5mm brass distance holder are used. The screws of the modules aluminum
heat exchanger are M4x8 sink head screws.

Generally, take a look on what you’re doing. If anything is near below the
injection nut use the shortest screw possible.

Also take care of the injection nuts or bolts below the screw holes. Due the
individual history of the power  supplies it may be possible that they get
loose or lost by replacing the screw. Pay attention not to push with  too
much pressure while screwing.

After getting in touch with the possible problems, close the bottom cover by
placing the screws into the threads, and tighten them at least.

EAKAGE

C

HECK

(AIR)

After all, you want to know if the modification was successful.
The best and safest way is a pretest with air. This lets you flush the unit
with air to remove possible abrasions or smaller residues, and prevent
water damage due possible leakage.

CAUTION !

Wrong screws may heavily damage parts right

below the injection nuts!

Always take a look before screwing
