l Remove the jack of the aerial cable from the back of the TV set
and insert it in the aerial socket 2 2 of the video recorder

l Connect the aerial socket of the TV set with the TV socket

l Connect the scart socket of the TV set with the scart socket

l Connect the mains socket 4 4 of the video recorder with a mains

l Your TV set should automatically switch over to the
programme number allocated to video recorder
operation. If it does not, select the corresponding
programme number manually (EXT,AV, 0, . . .)
l Switch off the video recorder with the standby
button m m
l Press the stop button h h on the remote control
and the stop/eject button ? ? on the front of the
video recorder at the same time until the display
shows e.g.:“
M583 “
l Switch on the TV set and on the TV set select the
programme number to be used for video recorder
operation
l On the TV set change the setting for
this programme number until the test
picture (right) can be seen on the
screen
l Switch off the video recorder with the standby

l Using the M MEEN NU U button, activate initial installation
l The video recorder automatically searches for all available TV channels.This may take several minutes
l Once all the TV channels have been found the display will show “ OK “
l The year number will appear in the display (e.g. “ 2000 “). Using the number buttons 00--99 enter the current year
and/or confirm with O OK K
l In the same way, enter or confirm the settings for month (e.g.“ M 01 “), date (e.g.“ D 01 “) and time (e.g.“ 20:00 “)
l The display will show “ OK “ - Initial setting is now complete
