ow that you have looked up
the three-digit Remote Code
Number for your brand of device,
you are ready to follow the five
simple steps below.
Please read through steps 1-5
before beginning.
Place the TV/VCR/ACC
Mode Switch in the proper posi-
tion.
Press the VCR RECORD
button on the remote control and
release.
Press the SMART SOUND
button on the remote within 30
seconds, then release.
Enter the THREE-DIGIT
REMOTE CODE NUMBER
for your desired device. The
remote is now ready to send
commands to the unit.
Point the remote at the
Device. Press the POWER button
on the remote to turn the unit
ON.

Remember, if this doesn’t
work the first time, repeat steps
1-5 using the same remote code num-
ber.
After a second try and the remote
does not operate your device, see if
there is another three-digit code num-
ber (pages 39-40) listed for your
device. Repeat the steps above using
the new number.
If, after repeated attempts, the remote
does not work your device, try the
SEARCH METHOD on page 38.
Some Cable Converters can not be
turned ON by a remote control.
