Take the battery-printed circuit board unit
in your hand with the printed circuit
pointing towards you.

Insert a screwdriver at right angles
between the printed circuit board and the
batteries.

Break the printed circuit board in two,
using the screwdriver as a lever.

Pry the batteries apart with the
screwdriver and remove the plastic
battery holder.

Separate the batteries from the broken
printed circuit board by twisting them.

Lift the motor out of the other plastic part
with a screwdriver.
Do not try to reassemble the appliance in order
to run it from the mains. It would be dangerous
to do so.
