BOARD LEVEL TROUBLESHOOTING
For a dead set condition, check the 5 volt standby supply on J403 Pin 1 of the Small Signal
Panel or J403 Pin 7 of the Large Signal Panel.

If missing, then check the ac
input voltage on J461 of the Large Signal Panel. If the ac is present, but the 5 volt standby is
missing, repair or replace the Large Signal Panel.
If 5 volts is present at J403 Pin 1 of the Small Signal Panel, press the Power button and check
J403 Pin 5 for a Low. If J403 Pin 5 goes Low, the problem is with the Large Signal Panel. If it
does not go Low, the problem is with the Small Signal Panel, Keyboard, or connections to the
Keyboard.
Other important troubleshooting checkpoints are J401 on the Large Signal Panel for the 240
volt supply and filament voltage. Check J608 on the Small Signal Panel for Red, Green, and
Blue drives. Horizontal Drive from the Small Signal Panel J601, Pin 5 and Vertical Drive on
J601 Pin 6 should also be checked.
