Connecting to the TV (alternative configurations)
Connection via composite video (CVBS)
cable
This cable, usually with yellow Cinch connectors, transmits a
Composite Video signal (FBAS, CVBS). The colour signal and the
brightness signal are transmitted on the same cable. In certain
circumstances, this can lead to slight problems with the picture, such as
'Moiré' patterns.

Connection via a S Video (Y/C) cable
This cable, transmits the brightness (Y signal) and colour (C signal)
separately. This mini DIN socket/plug is also called a Hosiden
socket/plug.

Connection via a component video
(Y Pb Pr/YUV) cable (no progressive scan)
If you choose this type of connection, the DVD recorder must
already be connected and completely installed (Initial
Installation complete).
Switching the signal to the
COMPONENT VIDEO OUT

sockets
is carried out in a menu that is not available until the Initial Installation
is complete.
Component video (Y Pb Pr) is the highest quality picture transmission
option. The video and two colour difference signals are transmitted
through separate lines. The connectors and corresponding sockets are
usually green (Y), blue (U), and red (V).
Preparation:
•) Switch on the TV, and if necessary, select channel assigned to the
DVD recorder.
