Problem Cause Solution
Is it possible to adjust
the browning level while
the toaster is working. Yes, the browning level can be adjusted
during the toasting process by adjusting the
browning control.
I cannot change the
browning setting when
Iuse the warming
function.

My roll or croissant is
too dark/burnt.
The roll or croissant
maynot be put directly
on top of the toaster. Put the roll or croissant on the
warmingrack.

The bread pops up
almost immediately
without having been
toasted. The toasting lever has
not been pushed down
all the way.
Make sure you push the toasting lever
down all the way.
Malfunction.
Take it to a service centre authorised by
Philips for examination.
There is an unpleasant
smell during toasting. Some dust may have
accumulated on the
heating elements. Let the appliance complete a few toasting
cycles without slices of bread on the
highest browning setting in a properly
ventilated room.
The toaster switches off
automatically. The toaster has a feature
which will go into sleep
mode automatically if
you do not use the
appliance for 10 minutes.
Press any button to reactivate the toaster.
The toasting lever does
not stay down. The appliance is not
connected to the mains. Connect the appliance to the mains.
I fail to get the same
endresult when I toast
two different types of
bread at the same time. The toasting result for
different types of bread
may vary. The toasting
result depends on the
type of bread
used,thickness of the
slices and the condition
of the bread. To get the toasted bread you want it is
preferred to toast one type of bread at the
same time.
Can I interrupt the
toasting process. Yes, you can cancel the toasting process by
pressing the stop button.
