1 • Getting started

L

Read the safety instructions in the "Precautions" section before use.

First steps

To use your phone, you must insert a valid SIM card supplied by your GSM
operator or retailer. The SIM card contains your subscription, your mobile
number, and a memory in which you can store phone numbers and messages
(see “Phonebooks” page 34). If you use your SIM card on another phone, your
phone number and your

remains the same.

Get started

Insert the SIM card

Press on the two clips on each side of the
back cover of your phone, as shown
opposite (1). Rotate the cover from the
bottom of the phone and remove it (2).

Make sure the phone is switched off before
removing the cover.

Remove the battery pack by sliding it
downwards from its slot (1), then lifting it
upwards (2).

3

Insert the SIM card in its slot, under the
metal clip holder, until it stops. Be careful
that the clipped corner of the card is in the
bottom left corner as shown opposite.
