Settings
Autonomy
This menu gives you a direct access to the features that
consume the most energy and allows you to improve
your battery life by quickly changing each setting.
Display
This menu allows you to configure how the
menus are displayed on screen.
Deactivating most of the functions in this menu
increases battery life (see “Autonomy” above).
Backlight intensity
Allows you to choose from different levels of backlight
intensity.
Wallpaper
Allows you to set the wallpaper of the main screen

or
Off
. The wallpaper is not displayed in idle when the
World clock
option is
On
(see page 20).
External lights
Allows you to set the feature
On
or
Off
. When
On
, the
LED above the sub-display will flash:
• when receiving a call,
• when an alarm is triggered,
• upon an event (call missed, SMS received, etc.),
• according to network availability.
Contrast
Allows you to choose from different levels of contrast.
Backlight
Backlight is activated when receiving incoming calls
or messages, browsing menus, etc. Select one of the
available values.
Network
Contact your phone operator to have full
information about GPRS availability over its
network and for an appropriate subscription.
You might also need to configure your phone with the
GPRS settings supplied by your operator, by using the
menus described in this section. Then select the bearer
(GSM or GPRS) in the menus of each application to
be used (e.g. WAP, MMS, e-mail, etc.).
Access settings
This menu allows you to create different data profiles
that can be used for connecting to various services: for
example, when using WAP or when sending MMS,
the selected profile will be used to connect to the
GSM or GPRS network.
Options described below are operator and/or
subscription dependent. Error messages during
connections are mainly due to incorrect parameters:
