measurements regularly over a longer period
of time and recording the results will give you
a better insight into your blood pressure than
a single measurement.
Performing the measurement
C
1
Put the wristband on the left wrist with
the control panel on the inside of the
wrist. Make sure there is no piece of
clothing between the wrist and the
wristband.
The wristband must be placed approx. 1 cm (0.5
inch) away from the palm of the hand.
1
Tighten the wristband firmly around the
wrist. Make sure there is no room left
between the wrist and the wristband.
C
◗
The coloured marks on the wristband
indicate a wrist circumference of 13.5 - 22 cm
(5.3 - 8.3 inches). If the marks do not overlap,
the circumference of your wrist is too large
or too small to allow this blood pressure
monitor to function accurately.
C
2
Sit down comfortably and hold your wrist
at the same height as your heart.
If you expect your systolic pressure to exceed
150 mmHg, read the instructions under the
heading 'Systolic pressure higher than 150
mmHg'.
