PART 8: TROUBLESHOOTING 

In the table below, you will fi nd the most common problems and their solutions before contacting the service 
department. If the problem is not listed in the table or if the problem persists, disconnect the power plug from 
the power socket, shut off  the water supply and contact the service department. 

Problems

Cause

Solution

The washing machine 
does not turn on.

Check that the door is properly closed.
Check that the power plug is correctly 
inserted in the power socket.
Check that the water inlet is open.
Check that you have pressed the Start/Pause 
button.
Check that you have pressed the On/Off  
button.

The door cannot be 
opened.

The safety door lock 
mechanism is activated.

Wait until the system automatically opens it, 
or remove the power plug from the power 
socket.

Heating error

The NTC is damaged and the 
heating pipes are old.

Contact the service department.

Water leak

The water supply and drain 
hose connections are not 
properly tightened. The drain 
hose is clogged.

Check and tighten the connections.
Clean out the drain hose, or contact the 
service department to have it replaced.

Water is leaking out the 
bottom of the washing 
machine.

The water hose is not 
connected properly. 
The drain hose is damaged.

The water hose is not connected properly. 
The drain hose is damaged.

Indicator light,
display are not lit.

The washing machine is not 
connected to a power supply.
Motherboard problem.
Problem with connections.

Check that the power plug is correctly 
connected. 
Contact the service department.

Remains of laundry 
detergent in the drawer

The laundry detergent became 
damp or there was too much 
of it.

Clean out the drawer. Use a liquid detergent 
or one that is specially designed for drum 
washing machines.

Insuff icient 
washing eff ect.

The laundry was too dirty. 
Wrong program selected.
Insuffi

  cient amount of 

washing detergent.

Select an adequate program.
Add laundry detergent according to the 
instructions on the packaging of the laundry 
detergent.

Unusual noise.
Large vibrations.

Check that you have removed the 
transportation screws.
Check that the washing machine is installed 
on a fi rm and even surface. 
Check that there is no metal or other object in 
the washing machine.
Check that the washing machine is levelled.
