Lighting Instructions
1. With the knob in the off position verify the propane tank
is full and then pressurize the system by SLOWLY turning
the propane tank knob counter clockwise until fully open.
Verify the appliance is sparking by pressing the lighting
bolt(Igniter) button below the control knob. Spark should
be visable between the igniter electrode and burner tube
in the firepan.
2. While pressing the igniter push the fire table control
knob
IN
and to the left to the lighting bolt symbol. You
should hear gas flowing. After ignition, wait 10 seconds
and release the knob and the table should stay lit.
3. Rotate the knob counter clockwise for maximum flame
height.
4. When finished, turn gas off at propane tank and then
at table control knob. Allow the table to fully cool before
using any cover or moving the appliance.
Trouble Shooting
No Spark or weak Spark
Verify the wire between the igniter base and igniter elec-
trode is connected.
Remove any obstructions between igniter electrode and
burner tube.
Replace AAA battery in igniter base by unscrewing the
face of the igniter button.
Fire goes out when knob is released
As a safety feature, the thermocouple next to the igniter
electrode in the fire pan needs to heat up before it will
allow gas to flow freely in the valve. This happens when
you are holding the knob in. Cold weather or an obstruc-
tion between the themocouple and burner tubes can
cause a longer time to heat up the thermocouple. Adjust
firestone to ensure flame is getting to the thermocouple
and hold control knob in until the gas flows freely when
released.
BIGFOOT FIRESTONES™
Bigfoot Firestones have been hand cast
with a special refractory cement designed
to handle extreme heat.
Never put natural stone in your firepan
as it can explode.
Place the firestones in the firepan with the
rounded side up for a natural appearance.
Continue until the burner is covered but
not blocking burner ports. It is normal for
stones to lighten and change color over
time due to the extreme heat. Soot ac-
cumaltion is normal and caused by poor
quality fuel or bad air circulation between
the stones and can be washed off.
THERE’S AN UP AND DOWN SIDE FOR
EVERY STONE
NOPE, WRONG SIDE UP
YEP, CURVED SIDE UP
