4.1 Product identification
To correctly identify the product when communicating with Pfeiffer Vacuum, always have
the information from the rating plate available.
4.2 Function
The air drier TTV 001 for venting of turbopumps
●
dries air securely, when venting the turbopumps
●
shortens pump-down time
●
shows saturation of drying agent by color indicator
●
can be simply connected to venting valves.
The air drier is delivered filled with zeolite. Dry, orange colored beads are mixed in with
the zeolite for the purpose of ascertaining saturation. They discolor, when saturated with
water. By the arrangement of the drying agent in the glass cylinder, the degree of satu-
ration can be easily observed. Saturation occurs, when approximately 35-40 g of water
is taken up, e.g. with flow of about 5 m
3
of room air.
By means of the valve spindle 5, reduce the input of air so, that maximum drying of the
incoming air is achieved. Fasten the air drier onto the three tapped holes for installation
respectively with the two knurled screws 11.
5
Installation
Mount the air drier vertically in the vicinity of the venting valve of the turbo pump, if
possible.
