The electrometer pre-amplifier EP 422 has the following properties:

● Compact
● Minimum vibration sensitivity, low noise, low drift
● Simple mounting on analyzer QMA 4x0
● Rapid response and recovery in the case of overmodulation

3.6 Ion counter pre-amplifier CP 400

The ion counter pre-amplifier CP 400 contains pulse decoupling, an amplifier and a pulse height dis-
criminator with adjustable threshold. It is mounted directly on analyzer QMA 4x0 with 90° off-axis SEM.
