Loosen screws

Bring the needle bar to 1.8 after b.d.c.

Place the adjustment pin in hole

and apply pressure.

Position the hook point towards the centre of the needle, taking care to ensure that the
needle is not deflected by needle guard

Adjust the needle height according to
requirement 2

Adjust the hook post according to
requirement 1
and tighten screws

Needle rise, hook-to-needle clearance, needle height and needle guard
Requirement
When the needle bar is positioned at 1.8 mm after b.d.c.
1. The point of the hook must be pointing to the centre of the needle and have a clearance
of
0.05 – 0.1 mm
to the needle.
2. The top edge of the needle eye must be
0.8 – 1.00
mm
below the hook point and
3. The needle guard

must lightly touch the needle.
