These instructions explain how to correctly use your equipment. Only certain
techniques and uses are described.
The warning symbols inform you of some potential dangers related to the use of
your equipment, but it is impossible to describe them all. Check Petzl.com for
updates and additional information.
You are responsible for heeding each warning and using your equipment correctly.
Any misuse of this equipment will create additional dangers. Contact Petzl if you

Field of application
Eye shield that protects against flying particles, for work at height and outdoor work.
CE EN 166 (class 1 optic).
ANSI Z87.1-2015.
The VIZIR protects against high-speed particles (average impact energy B = 120
m/s).
It is compatible with the VERTEX (2011 version) and ALVEO helmets.
This product must not be pushed beyond its limits, nor be used for any purpose
other than that for which it is designed (for example, electrical shock and/or molten
metal splash hazards).
Mounting the eye shield
Use the eye shield mounting holes found on the VERTEX (2011 version) and ALVEO
helmets. Do not drill the helmet.
Attach one side of the eye shield and then the other. Use the mounting screws
supplied with the eye shield.

Precautions for use
- Warning: skin contact with the materials in this product can cause an allergic
reaction in sensitive individuals.
- Warning: replace your eye shield if it is scratched or damaged.
- Warning: if you wear the eye shield over prescription eyeglasses with temples,
impacts against the eye shield (for example from high-speed particles) can be
dangerous to the wearer.

This product meets the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2016/425 on personal

When to retire your equipment:
WARNING: an exceptional event can lead you to retire a product after only one
use, depending on the type and intensity of usage and the environment of usage
(harsh environments, marine environments, sharp edges, extreme temperatures,
chemicals...).
A product must be retired when:
- It is over 10 years old and made of plastic or textiles.
- It has been subjected to a major fall or load.
- It fails to pass inspection. You have any doubt as to its reliability.
- You do not know its full usage history.
- When it becomes obsolete due to changes in legislation, standards, technique or
incompatibility with other equipment...
Destroy these products to prevent further use.

situation que celle pour laquelle il est prévu (par exemple, risque électrique et/ou

Montage de la visière
Utilisez les trous de fixation de la visière prévus sur les casques VERTEX version
2011 et ALVEO. Ne percez pas votre casque.
Fixez un côté de la visière, puis l’autre. Utilisez les vis de fixation fournies avec la
visière.

Précautions d’usage
- Attention, les matériaux qui entrent en contact avec la peau du porteur peuvent
engendrer des allergies chez les individus sensibles.
- Attention, remplacez votre visière si elle est rayée ou endommagée.
- Attention, quand une visière de protection contre les projections de particules
lancées à grande vitesse est portée sur des lunettes à branches ophtalmiques
classiques, les chocs peuvent occasionner un danger pour l’utilisateur.

Mise au rebut :
ATTENTION, un événement exceptionnel peut vous conduire à rebuter un
produit après une seule utilisation (type et intensité d’utilisation, environnements
d’utilisation : milieux agressifs, milieux marins, arêtes coupantes, températures
extrêmes, produits chimiques...).
Un produit doit être rebuté quand :
- Il a plus de 10 ans et est composé de plastique ou de textile.
- Il a subi une chute ou un effort important.
- Le résultat des vérifications du produit n’est pas satisfaisant. Vous avez un doute

Der VIZIR-Augenschutz schützt vor dem Einschlag von Partikeln mit hoher
Geschwindigkeit (Stoß mit mittlerer Energie 120 m/s entspr. Typ „B“).
Er ist für alle Helme der Reihen VERTEX Version 2011 und ALVEO geeignet.
Dieses Produkt darf nicht über seine Grenzen hinaus belastet werden. Es darf
ausschließlich zu dem Zweck verwendet werden, für den es entworfen wurde
(z.B. nicht bei elektrischer Gefährdung und/oder zum Schutz gegen Spritzer aus
schmelzflüssigem Metall).
Montage des Visiers
Benutzen Sie an den Helmen VERTEX Version 2011 und ALVEO die für diesen
Zweck vorgesehenen Befestigungsmöglichkeiten. Bohren Sie keine Löcher in
Ihren Helm.
Befestigen Sie zuerst eine Seite des Visiers und dann die andere. Verwenden Sie
die mit dem Visier gelieferten Befestigungsschrauben.

- Warnung: Bei empfindlichen Personen kann das Material, wenn es mit der Haut
des Anwenders in Berührung kommt, allergische Reaktionen auslösen.
- Achtung: Tauschen Sie das Visier aus, wenn es verkratzt oder beschädigt ist.
- Achtung: Mit hoher Geschwindigkeit auf das Visier aufprallende Partikel können
für Anwender, die eine Brille mit herkömmlichen Bügeln tragen, eine Gefahr
bedeuten.

Das Produkt entspricht der PSA-Verordnung (EU) 2016/425. Die EU-

Aussondern von Ausrüstung:
ACHTUNG: Außergewöhnliche Umstände können die Aussonderung eines
Produkts nach einer einmaligen Anwendung erforderlich machen (Art und Intensität
der Benutzung, Anwendungsbereich: aggressive Umgebungen, Meeresklima,
scharfe Kanten, extreme Temperaturen, Chemikalien usw.).

Precauzioni d’uso
- Attenzione, i materiali che entrano a contatto con la pelle di chi indossa la visiera,
possono scatenare una reazione allergica nei soggetti sensibili.
- Attenzione, sostituire la visiera se è rigata o danneggiata.
- Attenzione, quando una visiera di protezione contro la proiezione di particelle
lanciate a grande velocità è indossata su occhiali da vista classici, gli urti possono
rappresentare un pericolo per l’utilizzatore.

Eliminazione:
ATTENZIONE, un evento eccezionale può comportare l’eliminazione del prodotto
dopo un solo utilizzo (tipo ed intensità di utilizzo, ambiente di utilizzo: ambienti
aggressivi, ambienti marini, parti taglienti, temperature estreme, prodotti chimici...).
