Detecting the probe
If there are communication problems with
the probe when the hand-held measuring
instrument is switched on, or if no probe
has been connected, or if the probe must
be changed during operations, the “Probe
Search” menu item can be selected. After
selecting this menu item, the hand-held
measuring instrument will again attempt
to establish a connection to the connected
probe. If this attempt is successful, the
serial number of the probe will appear in
the display.
If a connection is not possible, “No Probe
Detected” will be shown on the display.
If no connection with the probe is possi-
ble in spite of repeated attempts, check
whether the probe has been connected
correctly. If this does not help, please
contact PERI.
Language
In this menu item, the language of the
hand-held measuring instrument can be
selected. The user can choose between
German and English. Select the language
by pressing the and buttons and
confirm with the button. After activat-
ing the language, the symbol appears
in the upper right-hand corner of the dis-
play.
Auto-Power-Off
In the “Auto-Power-Off” menu item, the
user can select automatic shut-down with
different time settings. The following
times can be selected:
– -- minutes (shut-down function deacti-
vated)
– 1 minute
– 2 minutes
– 5 minutes
– 10 minutes
– 20 minutes
Use the and buttons to select the re-
quired shut-down time and confirm by
pressing the button. After activation,
the symbol appears in the upper right-
hand corner of the display.
The hand-held measuring instrument will
only shut-down automatically if no addi-
tional button is activated. If any button is
pressed the shut-down countdown will
start again.
