To obtain a homogeneous layer, keep the first coat thin, especially on vertical surfaces.
Apply only
one coat at a time. If more layers are required, follow the paint manufacturer’s
instructions on drying times.
When spraying larger areas or objects, it is recommended to use a criss-cross pattern
[J]
, either
from left to right then up to down, or vice versa. This ensures maximum coverage.
Do not stop halfway a surface, as this leads to irregularities in the finishing. Also, do not stop
immediately when reaching the edge of the surface, but continue until the whole spray beam has
moved passed the edge.
8.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Cleaning is essential to ensure proper operation. Clean the spray gun immediately after each use. Before
cleaning,
always
pull the power cord from the mains.
Never
submerge the spray gun in any liquid to clean it.
Caution
: Never clean the nozzle or air holes in the spray gun with sharp metal objects.
To clean the spray gun, proceed as follows:
1.
Switch the device off and pull the power cord from the mains.
2.
Pull the trigger for a few seconds so that the liquid in the spraying gun can flow back into the
reservoir.
3.
Unscrew the reservoir and pour any remaining liquid back into its original container.
4.
Pre-clean the reservoir and the suction tube using a brush.
5.
Pour solvent or water into the reservoir and screw the reservoir back on.
Warning
: Use only solvents with a flash point of min. 21 °C/70 °F.
6.
Switch the device on and spray the solvent or water into a container or on a cloth.
7.
Repeat the above procedure until the solvent or water emerging from the nozzle is clear.
8.
Switch the device off.
9.
Empty the reservoir completely.
10.
Remove any liquid residue from the seal of the reservoir and check the seal for damage. Do not use
the spray gun if the seal is damaged.
11.
Clean the outside of the spray gun and reservoir with a cloth soaked in solvent or water.
12.
Unscrew the union nut

and remove the air cap

and nozzle
[10]
.
13.
Clean the parts with a brush and solvent or water; let dry, then reassemble.
14.
Change the air filter
[K]
if it is soiled. Remove the air filter cover
[1]
and replace the filter. Place
the cover back.
