Headset contact
The adapter has a sturdy chassis jack (E) of Peltor’s standard type, J11, for
connecting Peltor headsets. The whole adapter, particularly the jack, is designed
to prevent moisture from penetrating to the electronics (sealed to IP65). The
location of the jack facilitates plugging in and unplugging the headset.
Note that the jack is at a 0° angle to the outgoing cord! (J)
IMPORTANT USER INFORMATION
Do not store the adapter at temperatures in excess of +55°C
The adapter is intended for continuous professional use at temperatures
between -30°C and +55°C
Most chemical substances have little effect on the material. For use in
extreme environments, contact your dealer or Peltor for more information.
Instructions for use
Connect the headset to the adapter and then connect the adapter to the
com radio or mobile phone.
You can secure the adapter with the clamp or the loop.
Switch on the com radio and adjust the volume to the desired level.
For maximum ambient noise compensation, position the headset microphone
3–5 mm from the lips.
Press the PTT button to transmit. Release when done.
If necessary, use a switch (F) for external/internal PTT.
FL5, FL56 and FL58
In
EXT
mode, the headset is connected and the microphone and speakers of
the radio are disconnected.
In
INT
mode, the radio is connected and the microphone and speakers of the
headset are disconnected.
FL500, FL50
The switch on adapter FL5030 is intended for switching the adapter on and
off. The adapter is on when the switch is in
EXT
mode. In
INT
mode, the radio
works as it does when the PTT button is not connected.
To use the radio’s built-in voice control (VOX):
Make sure that the radio is programmed for VOX. (Contact the radio’s dealer
if you need help.)
Press and hold the PTT button, then switch on the radio. Keep the button
pressed until a tone from the radio indicates that the VOX circuit is
activated.
