Adjustment of the blade bearings.
1. Disconnect the machine from the power
source.
2. Blade bearing (A) Fig. 8, should be adjusted so
that it only touches the back of the saw
blade after the blade tracks correctly. To adjust,
loosen the screw (C) and move the holder (D)
up or down until the support bearing (A) only
touches the back of the blade (B). Then tighten
the screw (C).
3. Adjust the bearing base of the second blade in
the same way.
Adjust the blade steering bearing
1. Disconnect the machine from the power
source.
2. Blade guide bearings (A) and (B) Fig. 9 should
be adjusted so that they only touch the sides of
the blade (C) after the blade has tracked
properly and the blade bearing has been
adjusted. To adjust, do the following:
3. Remove the cover plate located in the front of
the right guide holder (D) Fig.9.
4. The outer guide bearing (B) is mounted on an
eccentric shaft and should be adjusted so that
the sides (C) of the blade only come into
contact with guide bearings (A) and (B). To
adjust, loosen the nut (E) and turn the adjusting
nut (F) until the correct adjustment is made.
Then tighten the nut (E).
5. Adjust the other guide bearings in the same
way.
Adjust the blade to 90 degrees to the table
surface.
In order for accurate work to be achieved on the
bandsaw, the blade must be 90 degrees to the table
surface. To check and adjust, proceed as follows:
1. Disconnect the machine from the power
supply.
2. Lower the saw arm to the horizontal position.
Place an angle (A) Fig. 10, on the table with one
end of the angle to the blade, as shown
3. If the blade is not 90° degrees to the table,
loosen the two screws (B) Fig. 10, which attach
the blade guide brackets to the guide arms and
rotate both guide brackets (C) until the blade is
90° degrees to the table. Then tighten the two
screws (B). NOTE: Care should be taken not
to interfere with the blade guide bearing when
making the adjustment.
Adjust the blade steering mounts.
1. Disconnect the machine from the power
source.
2. Left and right guide brackets (A) and (B) Fig.
11, are adjustable by loosening the two locking
buttons (C) and letting the brackets slide to fit
the width of the workpiece. The guide brackets
(A) and (B) should be placed as close as
possible to the workpiece, without disturbing
or touching the workpiece or touching the table
when the adjustment is made, tighten the
locking buttons. (C)
