SYMPTOM:
Circuit breaker trips when the battery is plugged into the black vehicle
harness.
SYMPTOM:
Loud clicking noise heard when toy is being used.
SYMPTOM:
Battery makes a bubbling or sizzling noise when charging.
SYMPTOM:
Wheels spin too much.
SYMPTOM:
Brake not working.
SYMPTOM:
Power Lift bed stops working sometimes.
SYMPTOM:
Power Lift bed makes a clicking sound when the buttons are depressed.
SYMPTOM:
Power Lift bed does not work at all.
POSSIBLE CAUSE:
• Accelerator switch not
connectly properly.
POSSIBLE CAUSE:
• Gear are stripping.
POSSIBLE CAUSE:
• Battery is being charged.
POSSIBLE CAUSE:
• Not enough weight on rear
wheels.
• Motor wire is disconnected.
POSSIBLE CAUSE:
• Accelerator switch not
connectly properly.
• Bad accelerator switch.
POSSIBLE CAUSE:
• Automatic motor overload
protection device is
working.
POSSIBLE CAUSE:
• Safety slipping mechanism
is working.
POSSIBLE CAUSE:
• The wiring is not properly
connected.
SOLUTION:
• Check accelerator switch wire locations. Remove
footboard by prying with a screwdriver at its
base. (See fig. # A1 & A2 for footboard removal
and proper wire locations).
SOLUTION:
• Replace motor/gearbox assembly part #
ASGI9950XW.
SOLUTION:
• It is normal for some batteries to make some
noise during charging. No action is needed.
SOLUTION:
• Add some weight to the dump bed.
• See solution for “Motor wire disconnected”.
SOLUTION:
• Check accelerator switch wire locations. Remove
footboard by prying with a screwdriver at its
base. (See fig. # A1 & A2 for footboard removal
and proper wire locations).
• Replace acceleratior switch. Order part #
ASGI0082Y.
SOLUTION:
• Wait 15 - 30 seconds for the overload protection
device to reset. Note: when the outside
temperature is high, the automatic motor
overload protection device may operate more
often to protect the motor. Reduce the amount of
weight in the bed.
SOLUTION:
• This slipping is normal at the top and bottom of
the lift range. No repair is needed.
SOLUTION:
• Check the battery o main wiring connection. See
diagram # 28.
• Check the wiring connectors on underside of
Gator. See diagram # 24.
SYMPTOM:
Short runtime.

One wheel turns but not the other.
SYMPTOM:
High Speed - One wheel only
Low Speed - NO
Reverse Speed - NO
SYMPTOM:
High Speed - OK (both wheels)
Low Speed - NO
Reverse Speed - NO

SYMPTOM:
Vehicle stops intermittently, then restarts after several seconds.
POSSIBLE CAUSE:
• Vehicle has too much load.
• Battery is low.
• Battery is low or near end
of life.
POSSIBLE CAUSE:
• Vehicle is in low or rewerse.
• Motor wire is disconnected.
• Bad high/low switch.
POSSIBLE CAUSE:
• One motor wire is
disconnected.
POSSIBLE CAUSE:
• Bad high/low switch.
POSSIBLE CAUSE:
• High Speed is in the “lock-
out” position.
POSSIBLE CAUSE:
• Bad high/low switch.
POSSIBLE CAUSE:
• Bad forward/reverse
switch.
POSSIBLE CAUSE:
• Bad forward/reverse
switch.
POSSIBLE CAUSE:
• Automatic Circuit Breaker
has tripped because of
overloading.
• Accelerator switch not
operating properly.
SOLUTION:
• Reduce the load on the vehicle.Too much weight,
steep slopes, thick grass, sand, etc. or any
combination of these conditions can overload
the vehicle causing reduced runtime.
• See solution for “Battery low or dead” above.
• See solution for “Battery dead” above.
SOLUTION:
• This is normal when in low speed or reverse
because the wheels act like an automotive
differential. This makes turning easier. If one
wheel is stalled or stopped the other wheel gets
all the power. Shift to high speed to get full
power to both wheels.
• See solution for “Motor wire disconnected”
above.
• Replace high/low switch. Order part # MEPU0002.
SOLUTION:
• See solution for “Motor wire disconnected”
above.
SOLUTION:
• Replace high/low switch. Order part # MEPU0002.
SOLUTION:
• Remove the high speed “lock-out”. See fig. # 58 &
59).
SOLUTION:
• Replace high/low switch. Order part # MEPU0002.
SOLUTION:
• Replace forward/reverse switch. Order part #
MEPU0003.
SOLUTION:
• Replace forward/reverse switch. Order part #
MEPU0003.
SOLUTION:
• Reduce the load on the vehicle.Too much weight,
steep slopes, thick grass, sand, etc. or any
combination of these conditions can overload
the vehicle.
• See solution for “Accelerator switch not operating
properly” above.
