Thank you for choosing the sonaAMP and welcome to the extended family if this is your

first Peachtree Audio product! Our mission is simple: to make exceptional audio products

at affordable prices. Products that utilize a unique blend of cosmetic design, high-quality

materials,  and intuitive  user interface and most importantly; sublime sound quality.

Products for people like us… people that love to listen!

The sonaAMP is small yet very power amplifier designed to drive virtually any type of

loudspeaker with impedances as low as 2.5 ohms and as high as 16 ohms. It is a fully

balanced, dual-differential design that features an impressive power rating of 150 watts-

per-channel and both RCA and XLR inputs for easy connection to the preamplifier.

The sonaAMP features a class-A input buffer stage to drive the amplifier circuits. Signals

on the XLR inputs remain balanced all the way through the amplifier. Unbalanced inputs

are converted to balanced signals immediately after the input. When using balanced

connections between the sonaDAC and the sonaAMP, the audio signal  remain fully

balanced from the DAC all the way through to the speaker outputs! This helps minimize

any unwanted noise from the audio circuits and ensure the cleanest signal path so the

gear won’t interfere with your enjoyment of the music.

The heart of the sonaAMP features the latest generation of switching amplifier technology

from  ICE power, which  includes  patented HCOM modulation and  control techniques to

ensure excellent audio performance. The amplifier is ~80% efficient so the majority of the

energy it consumes goes towards driving your speakers rather than trying to heat your

listening room. This allows the amplifier to be much smaller and lighter than typical analog

amplifier designs that require fans or massive heat sinks to dissipate the unused energy

as heat.
