4.1.3
Adjust the flash duration
To adjust the flash duration, press the “RATIO” key. Now you can use the “up” and “down” keys
to adjust the flash duration in 0.1° steps (between 0.1° … 2.5°). A longer flash duration
increases the light intensity of the flash.
4.1.4
Adjust the phase angle
To adjust the phase angle, press the “SET” key. Now you can use the “up” and “down“ keys to
increase or decrease the phase angle in 3° steps (between -360 °… +360°). By doing this, you
can delay the flash.
4.2
External mode
To switch to the external mode, press the “MODE” key, until “EXTER1” appears on the display.
The external mode allows you to connect external devices to the stroboscope which trigger the
device. By using the “SET” and “RATIO” keys, you can adjust the delays and flash duration.

4.2.1
Connect external frequency transducers
Connect the external devices to the stroboscope via the USB interface. When using external
frequency transducers, the stroboscope has to be operated with the mains adaptor.
