PNP OS
Installed
Setting this option to Yes allows the PnP OS
(instead of BIOS) to assign the system
resources such as IRQ and I/O address to the
ISA PnP device. The default setting is No.
Reset
Configuration
Data
If you enable this item and restart the system,
any Plug and Play configuration data stored in
the BIOS setup is cleared from memory. New
updated data is created.
Resources
Controlled by
Under default Auto(ESCD) setting, the system
dynamically allocates resources to Plug and
Play devices as they are required. If “Manual”
option is selected, the prompt on the following
line, “IRQ Resources” will become available.
If you can’t get a legacy ISA (Industry
Standard Architecture) expansion card to work
properly, you might be able to solve the
problem by changing this item to Manual, and
then opening up the IRQ Resources and
Memory Resources submenus.
