Using the Update Utility
To update the keypad/terminal:
1.
Connect the null modem cable provided in the
software kit from the computer to the keypad.
2.
On the main menu select
All
to update the
application
and
the data files. Select
Data Only
to update just the data sent to the keypad.
3.
From the Main screen, click Update Terminal.
The Update Utility begins sending the
application and data files to the keypad. Do
not click
Cancel
while updating the keypad,
data and/or formatting could be lost.
4.
When you see “Update Complete. Please unplug
terminal power and connect printer cable,” the
update is complete. Click
OK
.
5.
Unplug the keypad’s null modem cable from the
computer and reconnect the serial cable to the
printer. Unplug the terminal’s power cable. Wait
several seconds and then reconnect the power
cable to the keypad. The keypad is now ready to
use.
6.
Click
Exit
to close the Update Utility.
