Check all parts for signs of wear or damage. All scratched, cracked or pitted parts must
be immediately replaced to avoid personal injury.

Carry out a performance test to make sure the welding helmet operates properly.

Always choose a correct shade to each welding application according to welding process,
welding machine and welding current in use.
Shade adjustment
Shade can be adjusted between 9-13 by simply turning the shade adjusting knob outside the
helmet. You can utilize the

below when choosing the correct shade for each
welding application.

Delay adjustment
Delay is time after which the filter returns from dark state back to clear state, in other words
time which the filter stays dark after the arc goes out. Delay can be adjusted with the
”DELAY” knob between fast and slow.

Delay time control knob in ”MIN” position: time varies between 0,1–0,25 seconds; suita-
ble for spot welding, short welding operations and seam welding.

Delay time control knob in ”MAX” position: time varies between 0,85–1,0 seconds; suita-
ble for high current welding and to prevent eye fatigue from the arc.

Delay time control knob in middle position: suitable for most indoor and outdoor welding
operations.
Sensitivity adjustment
Sensitivity can be adjusted with the ”SENSITIVITY” knob according to welding process and
ambient light. Default sensitivity is at the lowest level.

Sensitivity control knob in ”LO” position: suitable for high current welding, and when
welding in bright light environment or when welding in environment with other interfering
light sources.

Sensitivity control knob in ”HI” position: suitable for low current welding, and when weld-
ing in low light environment, especially for low current argon arc welding.

Sensitivity control knob in middle position: suitable for most indoor and outdoor welding
operations.
