•
Press the spindle locking device (3) and turn the spindle until the spindle locking device locks.
Tighten the clamping nut with the hook wrench (9). Release the spindle lock (3).
•
Test the new separating wheel by running it idle for about one minute.
Note:
To prevent damage to the spindle or shaft, always stop the engine before locking it.
Never activate the shaft lock if the spindle moves, it could damage the tool.
Warning! Before starting the grinder, verify that the wheel does not rotate freely
between the clamping nut (6) and the wheel flange (8).
OPERATION
Personal protective equipment
•
Wear protective gloves.
•
Wear protective goggles. Flying shavings can cause injury.
•
Wear hearing protection for protection from continuous noise in the work place.
•
Wear dust mask for protection from airborne dust.
Warning! Risk of injury! Always work with mounted protective guard!
•
The power tool should not be drenched during use or used in humid environments.
•
Insert or remove the battery only when the power tool is switched off.
•
Keep the power tool handle dry without oil and grease.
•
Ensure that there is no water or electrical installation behind the grinding surface.
•
If possible, clamp the workpiece into the clamping device.
Switching On / off
• Insert the rechargeable battery (1) into the power tool. Hold the power tool on the main and auxiliary
handle and slide the switch (2) into the forward position with your thumb to switch on. To switch off the
power tool release the switch (2).
Working with the cordless grinder
•
Wait until the machine reaches its full rotation speed. Then you can place the angle-grinder on the
workpiece and begin working.
•
Do not attempt to increase the working speed of your angle-grinder by putting more pressure on it.
The grinding and cutting wheels work more efficiently when only light pressure is applied.
•
If the machine heats up intensely, allow it to run idle for 3 minutes so that the motor can cool down.
•
When you finish your work, always switch off the power tool and wait until it comes complete
standstill before laying it down.
Grinding / Roughing
•
Optimal working angle of the wheel on the workpiece is 15-30°.
•
Guide the grinding wheel carefully over the workpiece without exerting great pressure. Through this,
you achieve optimal work output and avoid over-exertion.
•
Be careful when working on uneven surfaces with the angle-grinder; the machine can be more
difficult to handle in this situation.
