Mode Switch
When grinding, Select GRIND on the MODE switch.
When welding, select one off two positions on the MODE switch
corresponding to the shade range required; Shade 4 through to 8
or shade 9 through to 13.
Shade Control
When the mode switch is in the lower position, 9 - 13, the SHADE
control knob adjustment most be set to correspond with the shade
required on the scale between 9, 10, 11 12 and 13.
When the switch is in the mid position. 4 - 8, the SHADE control
knob adjustment most be set to correspond with the shade
required on the scale between 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8.
Choose the correct shade number based on welding amperage and process.
If the shade of fi lter is too dark or too light, adjust the SHADE control knob slightly
until you can see the welding spot and molten weld pool without glare, or excessive
brightness.
Warning:
You can damage your eyes if using the welding helmet with incorrect
shade selected (Too light or too dark) for long periods of time.
