Checking the Propeller
WARNING:
Before inspecting, removing or installing the propeller, always take actions to ensure the
outboard does not accidentally start, such as removing the Power Cable connector,
placing the On-Off-Battery switch in the Off position, (or remove the Key for the Remote
Control Modle) and removing the lanyard from the outboard Tether stop switch, etc..
Serious injury can occur if the outboard should start and you are standing too close to the
propeller.
Do not use your hand to hold the propeller when loosening or tightening the propeller nut.
Put a wood block between the anti-cavitation plate and the propeller to prevent the
propeller from turning.
