LUBRICATION AND MAINTENANCE INTERVAL SCHEDULE
DIESEL ENGINE MAINTENANCE EVERY 500 HOURS
Replace of primary Fuel filter with water separator with manual priming pump
-
Place a suitable container under the water separator to catch any fuel that might
spill. Clean-up any spilled fuel. Clean the outside body of the filter assembly
-
Install a suitable tube onto drain (

) open the drain valve (

) rotate the drain valve
fully counter clockwise. Two full turns are required
-
Allow the fuel to drain into the container
-
Remove the tube from the drain (

)

Remove the wiring harness from connection (

)
-
Rotate filter bowl (

) counter clockwise and remove the filter bowl from assembly
-
Remove the filter element (

) clean the filter bowl
-
After repositioning the self-venting drain up, locate the thread in new filter element
(

) onto the thread (

) spin on the filter element and tighten the drain valve (

)
securely
-
Lubricate the lip (
X
) with clean engine oil. Do
NOT
fill the bowl with fuel before the
assembly is installed
-
Align the filter bowl (
5
) to the assemble. Rotate the filter bowl (
5
) clockwise by hand.
Rotate the filter bowl (
5
) until there is no visible gap between the element and the
filter bowl and the assembly
-
Remove the container and dispose of the fuel in a safe place
-
Install the wiring harness to connection (
3
)
-
The secondary filter element (If equipped) must be replaced at the same time
DO NOT USE A TOOL TO INSTALL THE FILTER ASSEMBLY
