3.2. Preparation for configuration (How to connect terminal with
Putty.exe):
Prepare a computer or laptop, with the free
putty.exe
downloaded.
Configure the LAN IP address of the computer or laptop to the same networking
sector (ie. 192.168.0.xxx) with terminal.
Connect the computer or laptop directly to the Ethernet connector on terminal, or
to a switch or hub that is on the same network with terminal.
Run putty.exe and type in terminal IP address for connection:

Normally, terminal configuration parameters and IP address have been
pre-configured before shipping out of Parktron factory. The terminal should be
ready to run after properly connected to power and system network. Only
refer and apply the following sections when installation requires IP address or
configuration parameters change.

Factory pre-configured IP address is normally printed on a sticker and tagged
inside cabinet door of a terminal. However, in any case of losing or unsure
terminal IP address, an universal spare IP address=
192.168.1.234
can be used
to connect to a terminal for configuration.
