Do not use any cleaning agents or
solvents. These could cause irrepa-
rable damage to the equipment.
Chemical substances can attack the
plastic parts of the equipment.
Carry out the following maintenance and
cleaning work regularly. This will guaran-
tee a long and reliable service life.
• Before each use, check the hedge trim-
mer for obvious defects such as loose,
worn or damaged parts. Check the se-
cure seating of the bolts in the cutter bar
(
2).
• Do not use the unit if the blades are
blunt or worn. This will overstress the
motor and gearbox of the machine.
• Check coverings and safety devices
(
1,3) for damage and correct seat
-
ing. Replace these where necessary.
The method for replacing the hand
guard can be found in the section on
„Maintenance and Cleaning - Replac
-
ing the Hand Protection“. Please send the
device to our Service Centre if the impact
protection (
1) needs replacing.
• Keep the ventilation slots (
5) and mo
-
tor housing of the device clean. Use a
damp cloth or a brush to do this. Do not
wash down the equipment with water,
or submerge it in water.
Cleaning and servicing the
blade knife bar
Clean the cutter bar (
2) carefully after
each use. After using the equipment, it is
imperative to:
- Clean the blade (with an
oily cloth);
- Oil the blade shaft with
an oil can or spray.
Replacing the hand
protection
Loosen the two screws on the hand protec-
tion (3) with a screwdriver. Replace the dam
-
aged hand protection (3). Fasten the new
hand protection (3) with the two screws.
Storage
• Clean the equipment before putting it
away.
• Keep the trimmer in the blade protection
(
11) supplied, in a dry place and
out of reach of children.
Wall bracket
You can hang the motor part on the wall
with the keyhole bore (12) on the bottom
of the device.
• Using dowels, place one screw at the
desired position on a wall.
• The screw head can have a diameter of
7 - 10 mm.
• Leave the screw head protruding at a dis-
tance of approx. 10 mm from the wall.
• You can place the device onto the screw
using the opening on the bottom and
pull the device down until it stops.
When drilling, be careful not
to damage any supply lines.
Use suitable search devices
to find these or consult an in
-
stallation plan for guidance.
Contact with electrical cables
can lead to electric shock and
fire. Contact with a gas pipe
can result in an explosion.
Damage to a water pipe can
lead to property damage and
electric shock.
