Setting the stroke rate
The stroke switch

is used to set the penetration depth of the engrav-
ing. A low setting is normally adequate for most engraving tasks.
Turn the switch for the number of strokes

in the
+
direction to
increase the penetration depth.
Turn the switch for the number of strokes

in the
–
direction to
decrease the penetration depth.
Changing the engraving point
WARNING!
RISK OF INJURY!
Switch the device off before
performing any tasks on the device and pull the mains plug out of the
mains socket.
Replace the engraving point

as soon as it becomes too worn
and no longer provides the desired engraving performance. Turn
the engraving point holder

anticlockwise until the engraving
point

is released.
Insert a new engraving point

and turn the engraving point
holder

clockwise to lock the engraving point in position.
Ensure that the engraving point

is properly fixed in position.
