Use only the accessories and additional equip-
ment that are specified in the operating instruc-
tions and are compatible with the appliance.
Setting up
WARNING!
►
Switch the appliance off and remove the
power plug before starting any work on the
appliance.
Additional handle
NOTE
►
For safety reasons, you should only use this
appliance with the additional handle
attached.
♦
Loosen the strap on the additional handle
by turning it clockwise.
♦
Push the additional handle over the quick-
release chuck .
♦
Turn the additional handle to the required
position.
♦
The locking positions on the additional handle
must now be pushed over the locking pins on
the spindle of the appliance.
♦
Turn the additional handle anticlockwise
again to tighten it.
NOTE
►
Move the additional handle into the
various locking positions depending on your
working position. Undo and lock the addi-
tional handle as described previously.
Depth stop
♦
Push the toggle button for the depth stop
and keep it pushed in.
♦
Insert the depth stop into the additional
handle .
♦
Make sure that the teeth on the depth stop
point upwards and downwards.
♦
Pull the depth stop out until the distance
between the tip of the drill and the tip of the
depth stop corresponds with the required drilling
depth.
♦
Release the toggle button for the depth stop
to lock the depth stop .
Changing tools
The appliance has a fully automatic spindle lock.
♦
When the motor is stopped, the power train
locks so that the quick-release chuck can be
opened by turning it towards
UNLOCK
.
♦
Insert the desired tool into the quick-release
chuck .
♦
Turn the quick-release chuck towards
LOCK
to tighten the tool.
♦
The spindle lock is automatically released when
the motor starts (ON/OFF switch pressed).
Attaching the dust extractor
CAUTION! RISK OF FIRE! Do not
work on metallic materials while the
dust extractor is attached. Hot metal
shavings can ignite parts of the extractor.
NOTE
►
Do not use the dust extractor to extract
wood or plastic shavings. They can jam the
dust extractor .

Use the wing screw to attach the dust
extractor to the additional handle (cf.
Fig. A).
♦
It is best to use a workshop extractor.
Connect the extractor hose to the dust extrac-
tion adapter .
