Turn on the power switch and wait roughly 1 min for the HOME screen to appear.

Making a measurement

Depress the oval silver button to open the lid and replace the copper target with the sam-
ple of interest (prepared according to the instructions in section 10.2). Place the sample
centrally over the detector before closing the lid.
