Troubleshooting
E:
When the output is unstable.
Please go to
“C”
: When no signal
is present when running the fluid”
Check causes of unstable zero
indication and indication fluctuation
found during running flow. Follow the
procedure at Category D for this.
Is detector filled with
liquid?
Arrange the pipe to be fully filled with the
liquid. Bottom to top flow direction is
preferable. Pay attention for top to bottom
flow and horizontal piping.
Reduce pulsation flow or relocate
meter to the place without pulsation
flow. Increase damping factor by
disregarding response speed if possible.
Bubbles contained
in the liquid?
Eliminate the bubbles by
flushing or installing a defoamer
Does liquid contain
slurry material?
Increase damping factor. (Ask agent
for readjustment at the factory)
Is there any valve installed
upstream not fully open?
Cavitation generated by the valve
may cause unstable operation. Open
it fully or relocate it to downstream
side.
Any mixing of liquids at
upstream of detector?
Uneven viscosity and density may lead
unstable indication. Mixing of liquids at
downstream is recommended instead at
upstream. Mix liquids completely.
Ground securely at the grounding
terminals reading less than 100Ω
