Mechanical Installation
1.
The generator should be located indoors on a flat surface and protected from direct sunlight, moisture, and dust (Refer to section 2.1 of
this user guide for the generators environmental specification).
Position the generator as close to the application as possible whilst leaving sufficient free space for ventilation and access purposes as
shown.
DO NOT position the generator so that it is difficult to operate or disconnect.
2.
Identify the required connection ports on the rear of the generator, remove the blanking plugs, and insert the Swagelok fittings supplied.
The inlet / outlet port configurations for each model are shown in table 3.3.
The G4 generator is factory set to deliver gas to the N
2
MFC Outlet. If it is to be integrated into a system with an external mass flow
controller (i.e. standalone or incorporated into the application instrument) the generator must be reconfigured so that its integral mass
flow controller is bypassed. When the generator has been re-configured the gas will be delivered to the N2 Outlet.
Do NOT reconfigure the generator at this stage as the integral mass flow controller must be used to achieve the specified purity. Insert
a ball valve into the N2 MFC outlet and leave in the open position.
