The CRP-1 Crown Race Puller is designed to quickly and easily remove the headset crown

race from the fork’s crown race seat and steering column.

Notes:

It can be helpful to clamp the main tube of the CRP-1 in a Park
Tool Repair Stand.  This solidly holds the CRP-1 and allows it
to be rotated, freeing both hands for easier operation.

Some fork and crown race combinations have very little ac-
cess for the CRP-1 to engage the crown race.  Some cosmetic
scarring of the fork crown may occur on these forks.

The blades of the CRP-1 are necessarily thin and will wear or
become damaged with use, particularly with extremely tight
fitting crown races.  These are consumable parts and will need
to be periodically replaced (part #1170-2, two required).
